Home›Terms of service
Last updated: 28 August 2026
These terms are between Buddybuy and the business that installs the Buddybuy app on an online store. Installing the app, or using it in any way, means accepting these terms. If you are installing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to accept them for that company.
Buddybuy is available on several store platforms. Alongside these terms, your agreement with the platform you installed from still applies, and where a platform rule conflicts with something written here, the platform rule wins for that installation.
Buddybuy adds a group shopping room to your storefront. A shopper opens a room from a product page, shares the link, and friends join to chat, vote on options, and build one shared cart. When a room meets the rules you configure, the app applies a group discount at checkout.
The discount percentage is always calculated on Buddybuy's servers from the room's real member count. Shoppers cannot edit it from the browser, and a room that does not meet your rule gets no discount.
Buddybuy may not be used to:
Accounts that abuse the service may be suspended. Where the problem is serious or repeated, the account may be closed.
Buddybuy may be offered on free and paid plans. Paid plans are billed through the billing system of the platform you installed from — Buddybuy never collects card details directly. Prices and plan limits are shown before you subscribe, and any change to them will be communicated before it takes effect for you.
Cancelling is done from the same place you subscribed. Access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and refunds follow that platform's refund rules.
We work to keep Buddybuy running reliably, but the service is provided as it is. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, and maintenance, platform changes, or provider outages can interrupt it. Group shopping rooms and discounts depend on your store platform's own APIs being available.
The app is designed to fail closed: if a discount cannot be verified, no discount is applied, and the shopper can still complete a normal checkout.
To the extent the law allows, Buddybuy is not liable for lost profits, lost sales, lost data, or indirect or consequential loss. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law.
You can end this agreement at any time by uninstalling the app from your store. We may end it if these terms are breached, or if we stop offering the service — in which case we will give reasonable notice where we can.
After uninstall, the app stops working on your store immediately and your store data is removed within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons. See our privacy policy for the detail.
These terms may change as the app changes. The date at the top shows the current version, and material changes affecting merchants will be communicated through the app or by email. Continuing to use Buddybuy after a change means accepting the updated terms.
Questions about these terms can be sent to support@buddybuy.ai.
Any merchant running a supported store platform — Shopify, Wix, WooCommerce and the other integrations listed on the site — who can accept these terms on behalf of their business.
The merchant does. You set the rules in the Buddybuy dashboard, and the app calculates the discount server-side from the room's real member count. Shoppers cannot change or forge it.
Uninstalling stops the app immediately and your store data is removed within 30 days. Order records that your accounting may depend on are kept only as long as the law requires.
Paid plans are billed through your store platform's own billing system, and cancellations follow that platform's refund rules. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
