Upload the plugin ZIP, activate it, and paste your Shop ID and API keys from the dashboard. The same plugin covers WooCommerce checkout and plain WordPress product pages. The discount is recalculated on your own server at checkout — there is no coupon code to leak.

Most merchants do not stay on one platform forever, and plenty run more than one store at the same time. Buddybuy is built for that: add every store to the same account and each one keeps its own widget design, discount rules, discount codes, orders and customers. You switch between them from the dashboard — there is no second login and no second bill.
How the group discount reaches the shopper
This is the one thing that genuinely differs between the three routes, so it is worth being precise about it.
- App and plugin platforms. The discount is calculated on the server from the room's real member count and your rules, then applied to the checkout. The shopper never types anything, and the number in their browser cannot change what they are charged.
- Script-only stores. We have no way to reach inside your checkout, so instead you create single-use discount codes in your own store for the percentage you want and paste them into Buddybuy. When a room qualifies, each member is handed one code from that pool. A code works exactly once, so a leaked one is worth nothing.
Why not one shared code? Because a shared code spreads. Anyone who sees it gets the discount without ever forming a group, which is the opposite of what you are paying for. Single-use codes keep the reward with the people who actually shopped together.
Common questions
Which platforms does Buddybuy support?
Shopify and Wix through their app stores, WooCommerce, WordPress, PrestaShop and OpenCart through a plugin, and every other store through a single script tag. The shopping room, voting, shared cart and group discounts are the same in all of them.
My platform is not on the list. Can I still use it?
Yes. That is what the script option is for. If your product pages are HTML — BigCommerce, Squarespace, Magento, Shopware, a headless build, or something you wrote yourself — you paste one script tag and the widget appears.
Do I need a developer?
Only if pasting a script tag into your theme counts as development. On app-store platforms there is nothing to paste at all, and every design and discount setting is changed from your Buddybuy dashboard, not in code.
How is the discount applied if there is no plugin?
You create single-use discount codes in your own store for the percentage you want and paste them into Buddybuy. When a room meets your rule, each member is handed one of those codes to use at checkout. Because every code works exactly once, a leaked code cannot be reused.
Can one account run more than one store?
Yes. Add as many stores as you like to the same account — each one keeps its own widget design, discount rules, discount codes, orders and customers, and you switch between them from the dashboard.
